How do I apply for admission to SIRe?

You can apply only for projects listed on the website. Go through the requirements of the proposals and if you feel you are eligible, then only apply.


 

What is the short-listing criteria?

All candidates applying to PhD program at SIRe must qualify Minimum Eligibility Criteria of IIT Delhi. In addition, the candidates will be asked to appear for a Screening test.


 

Are there any entrance exam or interview to get into PhD PROGRAM of SIRe?

Yes, The candidates have to appear for a screening test (aptitude test) and only the shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview on the same day or the following day.


 

When can I expect a call letter for the Screening Test?

Will be notified on the website.


 

What should I bring with me for the Screening Test?

A printed copy of your application, a printed copy of call letter, an ID proof and a pen. A copy of all supporting documents, score cards of competitive examinations (if any), certificates and their originals have to be brought too for verification of the candidates who pass the screening test.


 

What should I bring with me on the day of my interview?

The scheduled date for screening test and interview are fixed and cannot be changed.


 

What is the syllabus and pattern of the written exam?

Is the screening test fully objective or contain both objective and descriptive questions?

The screening test is fully objective and computerised test. The question paper pattern is given on the website.


 

Are there any negative markings for wrong answer in the written exam?

Yes, there are negative markings for wrong answers. The marking scheme for Screening Test is given on the website.
